With the ‘new’ Condado de Alhama - World of Resorts now well under way it seemed a good time to re-aquaint myself with the superb developments on offer by Polaris World. Again we chose to fly the Gatwick Airport - Murcia (San Javier) route a flight time of around 2 hours 15 mins.
This time we found Monarch Airlines to have the edge ‘price wise’ on Easy Jet. We took a late flight and arrived at San Javier at 21.15 and with virtualy no delay had soon picked up our hire car from Sol rental. Even with the lateness of the hour we arrived within about 20 minutes at The Intercontinental 5* hotel On Polaris World’s first resort, Mar Menor. Check in was quick and a luxury furnished room with air conditioning and more importantly a jacuzzi bath welcomed us.
After an early rise, breakfast was taken on the terrace overlooking the pool towards the golf. Even at this early hour it was pleasantly warm,a sign of the day ahead. The day was to be a busy one with visits to the Polaris World headquarters, El Valle Golf Resort, Condado de Alahama & finishing at the nearly completed La Torre Golf Resort where a meal would be taken.
Polaris World Headquarters. The best place to start your visit. Fronting the 3319 at Balsicas it is well located for the golf resorts of Mar Menor,Hacienda Riquelme,La Torre, La Loma, Terrazas de la Torre & El Valle. Inside the light and airy and spacious offices can be found all these developments in 3D form with comprehensive literature, large scale maps and images. On hand to help are very well informed Polaris World Staff who are very knowledgeable and ethusiatic about the Polaris World Developments.
El Valle Golf Resort.Our first visit to this nearly completed golf resort and a chance to inspect a show home. A truly luxurious front line golf detached villa with double car port, 2 BBQ’s, hot tub, swimming pool and both open and covered areas to enjoy the sunshine. Inside there is a master suite comprising bedroom, dressing room and en-suite bathroom. With two further bedrooms, family bathroom and cloakroom there is also a well fitted kitchen and exterior door leading to a partly covered utility area. There is also a spacious family room with eating area.
Condado de Alhama. (county of Alahama) is a unique area of 9,000,000m2 that brings together a group of independant property resorts each with its own indentity. Condado de Alhama has been planned with three main objectives in mind; privacy, security and proximity. All the resorts fit perfectly within one area, so you wont have to travel long distances.
Banks, specialised stores, supermarkets, hairdressing salons, launderettes, pharmacies, restaurants, cinemas…. are available here, along with schools and healthcare services. Together, they define the self-sufficient, independent nature of this residential area.
In Condado de Alhama, sports fans and pros will find an unbeatable location for practising whatever sport they prefer: tennis courts, paddle ball, basketball, football, gyms….. they’re all here in the sports facilities of this major complex, standing among three of the renowned Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses, two of which are Bear’s Best, and all this with 800,000 m2 of green parkland.
La Torre Golf Resort.Another resort nearing completion with superb golf facilities, town centre boasting bars and restaurants. An excellent place to eat whilst watching the golfers enjoying a round or practising. Here there is the opportunity to inspect a 3 storey town house with garden area, two roof terraces, 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, living and kitchen areas. There is also a show apartment open to the public.
